Experience New Zealand with its stunning scenery, picturesque landscapes, and pure Maori culture on this yoga and adventure retreat of a lifetime.

KAIT VANHOFF

certified yoga teacher

Kait is a 200hr certified yoga teacher who is a big advocate in living a balanced and healthy life and loves being able to share that with others. She loves helping people be in tune with themselves through yoga and connecting with the outdoors on each retreat. 

Kait's vinyasa classes are an intentionally balanced experience of rhythm and flow. Her creative sequences will guide you through your practice with breath and listening to your body to keep you living into your most authentic self. 

Kait's passionate about mindfulness, personal development, family and friends, connection, and the outdoors.


A DAY ON THE RETREAT


Day 1

Kia Ora and welcome to Christchurch, the Garden City! After you get settled into your room, you’ll join the rest of the crew for a welcome dinner to celebrate the start of a great trip!


Overnight in Christchurch   Arrival: Fly into Christchurch International Airport (CHC). We will provide 3 transfers between 8am and 5pm.

   Included: Airport Transfer, Welcome Dinner


Day 2

Wake up with an energizing yoga flow followed by a yummy continental breakfast this morning before we leave the city behind for some of the most picturesque roads in New Zealand en-route to Lake Tekapo.   Upon arrival and after check-in you will visit the Dark Sky Project. This evening you will learn more about astronomy and how it relates to Maori mythology. The stars are out every evening this time of year, so after this experience, you will know what to look out for when gazing out into the great expanse.

Included: Breakfast, Morning Yoga & Meditation Session (60 min), Star Gazing at the Dark Sky Project


Day 3

After breakfast, you’ll visit the Church of the Good Shepherd, a chapel perched at the turquoise lake’s edge set with a mountain backdrop. Later, you’ll lace up your hiking boots for a short 2-mile hike up to the summit of Mt. John where you’ll be rewarded with awesome 360 views of the Southern Alps. Later in the afternoon, give your tired muscles a soak in the Tekapo Hot Springs and enjoy the stunning views. End the night with a yoga flow & evening meditation.

 Included: Breakfast, Church of the Good Shepherd Visit, Mt. John Hike, Tekapo Hot Springs, Evening Yoga & Meditation Session (60 min)


Day 4

Wake up with a refreshing morning yoga flow. Today you'll take in the spectacular alpine views from the waters of Lake Tekapo. You’ll hop on a paddleboard for a nice float around the stunning lake and enjoy that clean Kiwi air! The rest of the day is free to wander and discover more of the region’s walking tracks, hop in the late for a refreshing dip, or just kick back and relax.

 Included: Breakfast, Morning Yoga & Meditation Session (60 min), Lake Tekapo Paddle Boarding


Day 5

Today’s ride will take you from the golden grasslands of MacKenzie Country to the tallest peaks of the Southern Alps! You’ll cruise past Aoraki National Park to Wanaka and visit the quaint former gold mining village of Arrowtown.   In the afternoon you’ll arrive in Glenorchy. Keep those cameras ready as the region around Glenorchy is some of the most picturesque landscapes on the planet!

Day 6

Today is a free day for you to either go on a hike, relax on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, or if you’re feeling adventurous, join an optional canyoning adventure in Routeburn Canyon.  The Routeburn Canyon is a beauty, with turquoise blue water carving through lime-green moss-covered granite. You’ll have a full day of splashing, abseiling, and exploring!   


Overnight in Glenorchy  

 Included: Breakfast, Morning Yoga & Meditation Session (60 min)  

 Optional: Routeburn Canyoning


Day 7

Today you’ll lace up your hiking boots again and head for Lake Rere. The hike covers a piece of both the Greenstone and Caples Tracks and makes a gorgeous day hike. The hike is a hair under 9 miles of moderate undulating hills, a 4-6 hour loop.   The afternoon is free to relax and give those muscles a break!

 Included: Breakfast, Lake Rere Hike, Evening Yoga Session (60 min)


Day 8

Before waving goodbye to Glenorchy, you have the option to go on a beautiful Horse trek through some of New Zealand's best sceneries. If you’ve ever dreamt of accompanying Frodo Baggins on a quest for the ring, this horse trek takes you to glacial-fed rivers surrounded by mountain backdrops used in the Lord of the Ring trilogy.  In the afternoon you will travel to Queenstown and settle in. After freshening up, you will join your group of travel buddies for one final farewell dinner and toast to an extraordinary adventure!

 Included: Breakfast, Morning & MeditationYoga Session (60 min), Farewell Dinner  

 Optional: Rees River Trail Horse Trek


Day 9

All good things must come to an end but only till next time! We’ll transfer you to the airport and say goodbye!
